About Beavis

I think I approach this website with a different perspective. I love bad movies. Not because of some inherent desire to inflict self punishment, but to make fun of them. My all time favorite TV show is Mystery Science Theater 3000. The snarkiness of the comments and the timing of delivery resonated with me and it's something I not only enjoy still watching today, it's an attitudinal filter by which I look at all forms of entertainment.

It’s that time of year again! This year we are moving from a booth to an artist alley table. The reason is that everything in our booth this year will feature items that are 100% made and drawn by us. Review of Birdemic: Shock and Terror

There’s a movie out there who’s visual effects not only left me speechless, but the story was so exciting it had me on the edge of my seat.  I’ll bet you think I’m talking about Guardians of the Galaxy or Captain America, aren’t you? Well, my friend, I’m sorry to say you’re wrong. I’m here to talk about the greatest B-Movie ever made, Birdemic: Shock and Terror. Or as I like to call it, Schlock and Error. If you visited RailingKill before, you know that I am a fan of bad movies. I don’t know what personality flaw or brain … Continue reading

Meeting Tommy Wiseau from The Room

The Room Tommy Wiseau You're tearing me apart, Lisa

For fans of B-Movies, you know it doesn’t get much better than The Room by Tommy Wiseau. There are few films harder to watch (like Birdemic or Avatar), and even fewer that are more fun to riff or have more memorable lines. You do have to give it up for Tommy, though. At least he had the balls to do what few of us would even try, and that is to finance, write, film, and star in your own movie. Grognard’s always watch a bad movie and think, “I could do better.” Well, independent people like Tommy, Neil Breen, John DeHart, … Continue reading

Sticky: Railing Kill Read-A-Riff

Read-A-Riff

So, what exactly is a ‘Read-A-Riff’?  It’s our way of riffing a short film without interfering with the audio. The reason for this medium is because that’s how I was raised… on B-Movie riffing. About 3 years ago I was introduced to a group called Riff-Club, formerly NoFadz (withazee). I was delighted to find a group of people that suffer from the same thing I’ve been living with for years and that is making fun of some really bad stuff. Every Saturday night we watch a hand-picked B-Movie and then riff the selection using a chat panel. We do this … Continue reading
